The Truth Hurts

The Church is in dire need..Heresy has taken root and false teachers and doctrines have arose within us from people that claimed to be among us...We used to divide the Word of Truth, used to tell people that they cannot live in sin and be a Christian...Nobody wants to hear the truth because of the "itching ears" doctrine...However, it's time to tell THE TRUTH

Counterfeit Christians

Disclaimer: I am not targeting anyone or trying to put people on blast. The reason for this blog is to bring souls to Christ through His Word and my testimony. If you get offended, I forgive you and remember that the truth is closer than it appears.

"For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them]." -2 Timothy 3:5 (AMP)

This is my least favorite scripture in all of the Bible...I don't hate it, I just do not like it because of 1 reason: it hit the heart with such an impact that I had to humble myself before God. I used to have a form of religion but I denied the power. We all know the routine: Holiness on Sunday, Live like Hell the other 6 days. However, this scripture highlights a very serious condition in the church: Counterfeit Christians.

Maybe you're reading this and like "Counterfeit Christians?"...Just call it Bootleg Christians, Fake Christians or better yet, Hypocrite. Now, to understand this scripture there are a couple questions we must ask: 1) How do you deny the power Paul is talking about? 2) How do you have a form of religion? 3) Why should we avoid these people? I'm glad you asked but first let's understand what is meant by Counterfeit Christians and why is this a serious matter.

You walk into a store, you see a guy selling tennis shoes (Jordan and Nike). You walk up to him and say "How much?" he answers, "$70" so you think and you say "Are they real?" and he responds "Yea". You ask to see the shoe and after inspecting it, you determine that the shoe is fake and decide to keep your money. Let's think about the situation I just described. How did you know they were fake? Most of the times you look at the trademark or the symbols to see if Jordan has a butt crack lol or the Nike sign is going reverse. In society, knock offs of the original is common. I've seen fake Blackberries, Ipods, Ipads, Jordans, Nikes, etc. but the reason you know the difference is because you've had the real thing at one time...so Counterfeit Christians look like the real thing but they just a knock off. Now, let's be clear some people buy knockoff because they're cheaper but what do you sacrifice? Quality, Durability, etc. When you become a Counterfeit Christian, you're robbing yourself of all the benefits God promised His Children (too many to name). I'm not saying God doesn't love you because He does but the only person you're fooling is yourself. Now, that I have explained Counterfeit Christians, let's get to the scripture.

This scripture says that Counterfeit Christians DENY the power and reject it. What is Paul talking about? Counterfeit Christians claim to be Christians (duh Henry) but they deny the power BY THEIR ACTIONS...Someone just got mad....was it me? no but anyway, Paul says these people claim Christ but live   like sinners. What is the "power" mentioned here? None other than the third person of the Triune Godhead: The Holy Ghost. The mission or purpose of the Holy Spirit is to help guide you and keep you connected to God. Think of the Holy Ghost as the Offensive Coordinator of a football tea. He talks to the head coach and then gives the play to the quarterback. When they deny this power, they CANNOT live holy, and cannot please God or deny their own desires. Many people deny this power when they believe they are Christians because their parents, pastor, brother, sister, friend is one and they never accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior personally. Counterfeit Christians are very different from backsliders (that's another blog) and should NOT be confused. They play by the rules but don't love the game because they think they're fine as long as they're playing

The second question: How do you have a form of religion? I can answer this easily because I was one of these fake Christian. Can I put myself out there? I went to church on Sunday, read scripture, played an instrument and said "Lord, I do all these things so i'm going to Heaven." I loved God on Sunday and put on my "Christian" mask but on Monday, I was listening to Nicki Minaj, Wayne, Drake, watching porn, cussing, doing whatever I wanted. Anybody can have a form of religion. Look at Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Muslims, even Buddhists but they're missing THE POWER. It's easy to look religious because religion is based on works. Religion says to God, "I've done this and that so I know I'm saved and going to Heaven" A form of religion is very careful to make sure it's appearance is real. So you shout at church, speak in tongues, cry, snot, fall out, etc. EVEN DEMONS DO THAT....Satan even quoted scripture when he tempted Jesus (Matthew 4:6) so what does this tell you? Religion will not get you into Heaven and the only reason religion existed was to INTRODUCE you to a deity or a higher power. It cannot save you nor does God approve of you just because you appear "religious".

Why should we avoid such people? The answer is easy: They have fallen away from the faith and may tempt you to do the same. It's like when your friend sees the same guy that tried to get you to buy the sneakers, you say, "No, don't buy anything from that guy. He's a fake, the shoes are fake." You warn your friend because you know the consequences if he buys from him so you prevent it. Paul is doing the same thing, he's saying, "No, keep your distance. They not really saved, they just act like it. They might try to influence you or tempt you to sin. Do not associate with them." Now Paul is not saying, hate them and treat them bad but just guard your spirit when you do.

We are made in God's Image, and this is a very important fact. I know that most people do not like buying fake Coach, Jordan, Nike, or any other name band clothing or shoes. So my question is: If we do not like fake stuff, what makes us think God does? We get mad at God when things do not go our way or life gets us in a tight spot but have u lived Matthew 6:33? Are you seeking The King or the Bling? Counterfeit Christians serve two masters: god and themselves and unfortunately, they will be condemned on the day of Judgement. God weeps when he sees Counterfeit Christians because you do not experience Christ in His fullness. You cannot know God because His Wrath is on you. This is heartbreaking for me because I used to be one. I know it feels good serving your desires all the time and "pleasing God" on Sunday. The Bible says that sin pays us death but God has GIVEN us life through Christ (Romans 6:23).

However, it's not too late to start having a relationship with Jesus Christ. It's only too late when you're laying in a box. God wants you to know Him, He wants you to love Him, He wants you to serve Him. You may be asking, "How do I know Christ? How can I experience this power Paul talks about?" The first thing is to realize that you're a sinner. You owe God a debt that you cannot pay, and God owes you punishment. The second thing is to believe that Jesus Christ came as God in the flesh and accepted your punishment on the cross when he died, and God raised Him from the dead through the power of the Holy Spirit on the third day. The third thing is to find a church that preaches the Word, and begin reading the Bible and praying. However, these are just the foundation of being saved but the main key is to keep your faith in Christ ALONE. Don't die a Counterfeit Christian and fall short of your true potential, which can only be unlocked when you give your life to Jesus Christ. If He could do it for me, I know he can do it for you. Be blessed

The Truth about Christianity: Jehovah Witnesses

Disclaimer: I am not in any way stating that Jehovah Witnesses are all demonic and they are going to Hell because they can be saved and open their eyes to the truth. I respect their beliefs, and I have friends who are JW's and we get along well. The purpose of this blog is to compare Jehovah Witnesses (who claim to be Christian) beliefs to what the Bible actually says. I am NOT favoring one religion over another, just simply stating biblical truth.

These are six beliefs of the Jehovah Witness religion, and the link for the first five beliefs are found at http://www.religioustolerance.org/witness3.htm while the last belief is found on the official Jehovah Witness website http://www.watchtower.org/e/bh/article_07.htm

Belief #1: "Jesus Christ is believed to have originally existed in a pre-human state as the Archangel Michael."

This statement is basically saying that before Jesus came to earth in human form, he "existed in a pre-human state as the Archangel Michael", which implies that Jesus is actually an angel. This statement denies the divinity or His claim to be the Son of God. What does the Bible say about Jesus? Is Jesus really an angel? Let's take a look at what Hebrews 1:5-8 (CEV) states, "God has never said to any of the angels, 'You are my Son, because today I have become your Father!' Neither has God said to any of them, 'I will be his Father, and he will be my Son!' (6) When God brings his first-born Son into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him. (7) And when God speaks about the angels, he says, 'I change my angels into wind and my servants into flaming fire' (8) But God says about his Son, 'You are God, and you will rule as King forever! Your royal power brings about justice." Jesus Christ was NOT, has not nor will ever be an angel according to this scripture. To say that Jesus existed originally in the form of Archangel Michael is an insult to God, and Jesus Christ. Angels are not to be worshiped and we see this repeatedly in scripture but Jesus accepted worship when the woman came to Him and poured oil on his feet and washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.

Belief #2: "They reject the traditional symbol of Christianity, the cross, because it is of pre-Christian, pagan origin. They believe that Jesus was executed by being nailed to a single upright wooden stake with no cross beam."

This belief is so demonic that I strongly suggest that even JW's research what I am about to say to see for themselves. The Holy Spirit ALONE revealed this to me, I did not come up with this on my own: By believing that Jesus was nailed to the stake, they are saying that Jesus Christ, the Son of The Living God is a witch!!!!! This is shocking revelation and I broke down and cried because they are denying Jesus's divinity and saying that he is demonic. However, I assume that JW's DO NOT know this because I'm sure if they did, they would leave the faith. What proof is there to this accusation? I'm glad you  asked, check out this link http://www.capitalpunishmentuk.org/burning.html, which gives a history of burning witches at the stake. However, let me provide scripture that also denies this heresy. Acts 5:30 (AMP) says, "The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, Whom you killed by hanging on a tree (cross)." Of course, there are numerous scriptures mentioning the cross, but I can't name them all. However, when talking to a JW, I would prefer using the word "tree".

Belief #3: "Christ's Second Coming has actually happened. It was not a physical return to earth. It was an invisible event in 1914 in which Satan and Christ engaged in a heavenly battle."

Let's see what Jesus Christ Himself says about this supposed "Second Coming" in Mark 13:32 (AMP), "But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Jesus was talking about His Return and He clearly said that no one knows when He will return so where did the 1914 thing come from? Satan himself....this is a very serious problem because if Christ came back, why are we still preaching? why are we still trying to live holy if Jesus Christ came back already? If Jesus returned, then everything we're doing (JW's included) is useless. The truth is that Jesus Christ did NOT come in 1914, and we do not know the day or hour so this belief is clearly unbiblical and is false.

Belief #4: "Humans do not have an immortal soul that continues on after death. When they die, they cease to exist. With the exception of those who killed Jesus, have sinned against the Holy Spirit, and God has judged to receive eternal death."

This one is self-explanatory....I'm personally confused and I need only a Jehovah Witness to explain this because they do not believe that the soul lives after death but the only people with exceptions are the ones that killed Jesus, sinned against the Holy Spirit, and was judged by God to receive eternal death? I must say that I seriously do not understand this belief, and scripture says that "it is appointed for [all] men once to die, and after that the [certain] judgment." (Hebrews 9:27 AMP). I do not understand where this belief came from but this belief is unscriptural as far as Hebrews 9:27 is concerned.

Belief #5: "They totally deny the existence of the traditional view of Hell as a place of punishment and torture. Satan is regarded as having created the concept of Hellfire in order to turn people against God."

First, we must understand what is meant when it states "the traditional view of Hell as a place of punishment and torture." Ok, Christians believe that Hell are for those that deny Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and therefore are condemned to Hell forever. Now, where did this concept come from? Before I explain....lets understand something...we are not talking about purgatory, or any other place where souls get a second chance...I'm talking about Hell, where you get no second chance and burn forever. I know it sounds harsh but even Jesus Christ himself talked about Hell when he told the story of Lazarus and the Rich man (Luke 16:19-31). Although, Jesus was not making Hell the focal point of the story, we see that "a place of torment" does exist, and there are numerous scriptures that support Hell (2 Thes. 1:7-9; Rev. 20:14; Jude 1:7). Let's tackle part 2 of this which states, "Satan is regarded as having created the concept of hellfire in order to turn people against God." While it is clear that Satan wants to turn people away from God, hell is not an idea from Satan and would totally contradict Revelation 20:10 (NLT), which says, "Then the Devil, who betrayed them was thrown into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur..."

The Jehovah Witnesses are people who sincerely believe these doctrines, and I personally know some. My mission is NOT to endorse my "Christianity" or slander their name. However, it is my mission to show that when someone claims to be a part of Christianity, if their beliefs do not line up with the Word of God, I must say the Bible says about it. This is not my opinion or religious view but it is straight from The Word of God. If it doesn't match up with the Word, it is false. There are problems in modern Christianity that are not biblical but that's another blog in itself. Judgement begins with the House of God first, why? Because we claim to know the truth and we will be judged by it. I do endorse some of the practices that Jehovah Witnesses embrace such as holidays, and I admire their passion to evangelize. I pray that this has opened your eyes and I did this out of love, nothing else. However, please forgive me if I gave any other impression, it was not intentional. Be blessed

The Ultimate Sacrifice

"They stripped off Jesus' clothes and put a scarlet robe on him. (29) They made a crown out of thorn branches and placed it on his head, and they put a stick in his hand. The soldiers knelt down and pretended to worship him. They made fun of him and shouted, 'Hey, you king of the Jews!' (30) Then they spit on him. They took the stick from him and beat him on the head with it." -Matthew 27:28-30

Imagine being stripped of your clothes and given a scarlet robe, and imagine having a crown of thorns shoved on your head...This is what Jesus had to endure. Verse 29 says,  "They made a crown out of thorn branches and placed it on his head, and they put a stick in his hand. The soldiers knelt down and pretended to worship him. They made fun of him and shouted, 'Hey, you king of the Jews!' ". In case you have never touched a thorn, it is razor sharp and can cut through flesh very easy. I can imagine that when they placed the crown of thorns on His head, it cut through his flesh and blood is rushing down his face, and the thorns may have been an 6 inches or longer so they run deep in his flesh...Can you imagine enduring that kind of pain? How would you feel having sharp thorns piercing your skin, blood running down your face? The soldiers torturing him pretends to worship him or in other words, they tease him and call him names...Think about how you would feel if someone called you names and insulted you repeatedly...However, it gets worse....

Verse 30 states,  "Then they spit on him. They took the stick from him and beat him on the head with it." This is probably the most disgusting thing you can do to a human being..They spit on Jesus, no doubt that it was probably multiple people doing it...How would you feel if you were being spit on? What would be your reaction? Anger? Revenge? This is what Jesus endured, this is what Jesus put up with. The second part of the scripture states that they beat him on the head with a stick...Now, please let's be real about this...the stick they are talking about is NOT a twig, I imagine it was heavy, and apparently big enough to support his weight (something like Moses carried) but they take the stick and beat him on the head with it....Imagine being pounded on the head, possibly 40 times non stop with full strength...you're already losing blood with the crown of thorns and you're covered in spit....How do you feel? Would you fight back? Cuss them out? Cry? They also forced Jesus to carry His Cross on his back, possibly weighing 100+ pounds but let's not forget that He's been beat on the head, had a crown of thorn shoved on his head, and spit on....Would you be able to carry the cross Jesus carried but it became so heavy that He needed help carrying it (Mark 15:21)?

Jesus has been whipped, spit, and beat on, and suffering harshly....so what was Christs' response to His unjust suffering? The Bible tells us in Luke 23:34, "Jesus said, 'Father, forgive these people! They don't know what they're doing." Ok, STOP THE PRESSES....Did Jesus just say what I think He said?? Is Jesus asking God to forgive the people who's beating him and spitting on him? Am I crazy? Is He crazy?? The answer is No. Jesus is not crazy but showing the most powerful demonstration of LOVE ever shown. He's asking God to forgive them because they really do not know what they're doing...They do not know that Jesus is fulfilling prophecy or that His Death is vital to His Mission.

So why did Jesus allow them to beat him and kill him? The answer is YOU. Jesus took the beating and spitting because He took our place and accepted the punishment of God upon Himself. Henry, what are you talking about? After Adam and Eve disobeyed God, a curse fell upon the earth known as "sin". Since God is holy and perfect, He cannot tolerate sin so we were disconnected to Him. Jesus was sent to reconnect us because Jesus was GOD in the flesh. Sin was our debt to God, and the only way to pay Him was through death. However, Jesus never sinned which made him the perfect candidate to pay God back and the only way He could do this was to die. Think about it like this: You borrow money, and can't pay it back so they order a hit out on you, but you hear that someone else has taken the punishment you were supposed to receive. This is what Christ did, He paid the price with His Blood because it was pure and was the only thing God would accept as payment. Romans 5:8 (CEV), states, "But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful."

Now, please understand that Christ did not have to die, He could have called angels to destroy everyone or He could have chosen to get down off the cross to prove himself to the people. However, Jesus was thinking about you when He chose to stay up on the cross. He would rather lose His Life temporarily than to lose you  permanently. Who would do that? Who would love you so much that they would sacrifice their own life for you so that you do not have to be punished? God has shown His Love by having Christ pay the price for sin. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this is what Christianity is truly about: The story of how we owed God because we were sinners, and could not afford to pay God, so God sent Jesus, who was God in the flesh and never sinned, to pay our debt by dying on the Cross and it was paid ONLY THROUGH HIS BLOOD. The only thing we must do is accept His payment and follow Christ because of what He has done. It's the same as if someone paid off a large debt...you would want to know what can you do to repay Him, the same is with Christ...If we want to show our appreciation for what He has done, we must accept His payment and obey the Father. We must understand that we did not do ANYTHING to pay off our debt, and we could not because the price was too high. Jesus Loved you so much that He died for you, accept Salvation, a gift given to you by God through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23), and obey the Father. Be blessed

P.S. Please double check EVERY scripture reference and if I have misquoted or even left one letter, please let me know and please forgive me because it was not intentional.

The Prosperity Gospel

*All scripture is from the Amplified Bible unless otherwise noted

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to and different from that which we preached to you, let him be accursed ( anathema, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)!" -Galatians 1:8

The Prosperity Gospel.....what is it? It is a message that says God wants us to be rich, healthy, and successful. Now, who wouldn't want to be rich? I would buy into the Prosperity Gospel but there's just 1 huge problem: The Prosperity Gospel is NOT the true Gospel and is demonic. "Henry, stop being jealous of rich people and hating on the preachers with million dollar houses, you just wish it was you" is what you're probably thinking and that is not true...I will show you what Galatians 1:8 says and other scripture that exposes this "Prosperity Gospel" as heresy or fake teaching.

First, the Prosperity Gospel teaches that God wants us to be rich, healthy, and live the "abundant life" Jesus came to die for. Jesus did not come to die so that we could drive BMW's, live in mansions, and be wealthy, this is NOT what scripture teaches. So why did Jesus come? Let's see what Matthew 1:21 (KJV) says, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."  Let me repeat the last part in case you missed it "thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."  This scripture clearly states that Jesus Christ came to DIE FOR OUR SINS, not so we could be rich and live a wealthy lifestyle. Maybe you still don't believe me, take a look at Galatians 1:3-4 which says, "Grace and spiritual blessing be to you and [soul] peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), (4) Who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us]...." This scripture compliments Matthew 1:21 so it is a known fact that Jesus came to die for our sins, NOT for health, wealth, and a rich lifestyle.

Second, the Prosperity Gospel teaches that God wants us to be rich.........This is demonic, and comes straight from Satan himself. There are many scriptures that clearly shows that being wealthy comes with problems, and that God does NOT want us to be rich. I want to clarify that God does not hate rich people, He does not favor poor people over rich people...Let's take a look at Luke 9:25 "For what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and ruins or forfeits (loses) himself?" Jesus himself is saying that it is useless to be RICH and still go to Hell!!!!!! The Prosperity Gospel defies Christ and His work on the cross by saying "God wants us to be rich, and live an abundant life" but this is heresy, this is demonic, and I hate this gospel with every ounce of my being and I know it is an abomination to God. Matthew 6:19,21 says, "Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. (21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." What was Jesus saying? He was saying that when we begin to store "treasure" (cars, houses, money, jewelry, etc.) on earth, we begin to put our heart in those things and we have committed idolatry because we have valued the created things over the Creator when God has already said that everything in the Earth is HIS (Psalm 24:1).

Third, the Prosperity Gospel is an itching ears doctrine and will lead millions to Hell. Why? Because the Prosperity Gospel teachers have denied Christ and followed their own desires. This is a very serious matter, and should be addressed. How would you feel if you went to the doctor and you had a disease and the doctor says, "You're fine" and you get serious sick...How would you feel? Mad? Angry? However, every Sunday in hundreds of churches, a preacher is saying that God wants us to be rich, and they are liars. 2 Peter 3:9 says that "....He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance." This scripture says that God wants us to repent or turn from sin, and follow Christ..That my friends is the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The real gospel teaches that we must take up our cross and follow Jesus, not that life will be rich and full of pleasure when we accept Christ. The real gospel teaches that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh who came down to Earth to die for our sins in order to reconnect us with God, not that Jesus came so that we could live a life of "earthly abundance"....They have twisted scripture and formed a false gospel and this is a serious offense to God and Jesus Christ.

The Prosperity Gospel is heresy, not because I said so but because the Word of God has proved that it is false. It is my earnest prayer that the Body of Christ wakes up, and begins discerning when the preacher starts preaching because even Satan pretends to be an angel of light. I am not going to name preachers who preach this abomination because that would be useless and there are too many to name, but we need to pray for these false teachers that their eyes be opened and that we as Christians preach ONLY the true Gospel unless we be accursed and punished. The word "gospel" means good news and while being prosperous is good news, it does not point anyone toward holiness, it does not point anyone to trust in Christ for deliverance from sin, it displays Christ as a prostitute...you give your life, Christ will give you pleasure that comes from being wealthy but this is false. When you give your life to Christ, He gives you the Holy Spirit who will guide you in all truth. Christ is not a product being sold but a Savior who the world needs to know. Galatians 1:8 says that anyone who preaches a false gospel will be accursed. This is serious business. God will NOT tolerate being pimped and let them get away with it, people need to know truth and Jesus Christ himself said "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). Do not be fooled, there are other gospels just like the prosperity gospel so how do you know if it's false? The main point is that if they do not preach that Jesus Christ was God in human form that came to die for OUR SINS then it is false. I pray I shed some light and informed you on this heresy. Be blessed.

Grocery Store Jesus

"But Jesus told him, 'No! The Scriptures say, People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God.' " -Matthew 4:4

We get on our knees, and pray "Lord, I need you to come through for me. Father, I don't have money to pay my bills, my kids going crazy, and I need a way out. You promised that when I pray, believe that I will receive it and will have it. Father, I'm your child and the Bible says that the righteous has never been forsaken nor their seed begging for bread. Thank you for granting my request. Amen." You say "There's nothing wrong with this prayer" but there is and i'll explain why because this is the EXACT same prayer I pray whenever I get in a jam or a "God needed situation".

What was Jesus saying in Matthew 4:4? Who was He talking to? If you're not familiar with the story, Jesus was in the wild after 40 days of fasting (going without food), being tempted by Satan and Satan asked him to turn stones into bread. I could go on about how hungry Jesus was and temptation but that is another blog in itself. Matthew 4:4 actually shows us something we miss when we read this scripture: Our need for Jesus everyday.

Society and even religion has taught us that we only need Jesus when its "urgent". For example, everyone and their mother is a prayer warrior when someone is on their death bed. Why does it take dramatic circumstances for us to need Jesus? Think about this way: You're at home, and a family member calls and says, "Hey, I need $500 to help pay with the rent. Please help me, if you don't I'll get evicted." You feel compassion toward them, so you pay them. They say thank you but you don't hear from them until the next year and they need $500 for another emergency. The point is that you probably would call that family member a "user" or a "parasite" because all they do is take and never give. So if we as God's finest creation do not tolerate people who only use us when they need us, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK GOD DOES? You're probably saying, "Henry, that's you're personal opinion but everyone uses Jesus when they need him. I don't need Jesus everyday. I'm saved so I'm good." You're right because even sinners pray when they are in a situation they can't get out of. However, God then becomes an "accessory" and not a "neccessity"

I wanna direct your attention to the most quoted prayer in history, also known as "The Lord's Prayer" (Matthew 6:9-13) but let's take a look at verse 11 (NLT), which states, "Give us our food for TODAY." This is the prayer of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior teaching US....just in case you missed it, let me repeat it....Jesus Christ is teaching US how to pray. If Christ told us that we should pray to God for our "daily bread", who or what has told us that we only need to pray in "special circumstances"? God isn't interested in your "special circumstances", He's interested in your daily bread (everyday life) God doesn't want to hear from you only on Sundays when you trying to pray righteous enough to convince people, God wants to hear from you everyday because He is our Supplier, Our Refuge, Our Rock, Our Father, Our Creator.

If you haven't gotten the picture, I'm sorry because maybe I'm using a little bit to much "theology" (just a fancy word for religion). I'm gonna explain to you how the Lord explained it to me. We go to the grocery store only when we need food, we call that normal. However, what we have done is fooled ourselves into thinking that whatever we need will always be on the shelves. Now in some countries they only shop for what they need for that day. What is the point I'm trying to make? We have made God into OUR IMAGE when the Bible clearly states we were created in HIS IMAGE (Genesis 1:27). What does this mean? It means that we have a daily need for God because we're created for Him, not ourselves. We become lukewarm, hypocritical, self-righteous Followers of Christ when we only go to God when we want something. We do not appreciate Jesus for WHO he is because we don't even know him. We seek His hand, not His Face and then we get mad when God doesn't answer our prayers, when we put our faith in Him and it didn't happen. When you go to the grocery store OFTEN, they begin to recognize who you are and call you by name....PLEASE DO NOT MISS THE SPIRITUAL CONNECTION I AM ABOUT TO MAKE....When we spend more time with Jesus through prayer, fasting, worship, etc, we call Him by name. We don't just call Him Jesus, we'll call Him "Jesus The Healer". Everything becomes personal, our worship becomes deeper, our prayers wider, and our life shines brighter. Why? Because we have spent time in His Presence not only when we want something. There's a story in the Bible, where the apostles were casting out demons, so these other dudes decided that the name Jesus must be so powerful, that they could use it too so they did...but the demons didnt know who they were because they had NO POWER, and the demons attacked them. This is why so many Christians are falling away, giving up the faith because we think God is a light switch, we turn Him on on Sunday but keep Him off the other 6 days.

When we go to God daily, our lives become changed. I used to cuss, listen to worldly music, watch porn (im srry im a Christian right?) drink, etc. and then I'd go to church to get my "Christian energy drink" from the pastor and feel good because I did something that Jesus would actually approve of. However, it wasn't until I seriously accepted Christ that everything changed. I do not cuss, drink, or listen to worldly music. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect but I'm different because I have spent time with Christ. I know him differently now because I have a relationship with Him. Jesus should not be put on a shelf only to be taken down on Sunday or special occasions when we really need Him. We need Him everyday because life happens everyday. Everyday, someone is waiting for us to tell them about Christ, but how can we tell them when we only know Him as a 911 Operator and not as Our Father? I'm not accusing anyone because I'm guilty of the same things. If we do not like being used, why do we use God? Is it because He loves us unconditionally? Is it because He's God and doesn't have feelings? Whatever our reason, God's heart breaks when one of his children comes to Him only for something they need. Have a relationship with Christ, it brings benefits that emergency prayer doesn't. God has promised so much to us but we do not even read His Word. Please do not use God, He can become so much more than just "Grocery Store Jesus". Religion won't get you into Heaven, only a relationship with Jesus Christ can. Be blessed.

P.S. If anyone knows the scripture for that story about the demons attacking the dudes, please let me know because I tried finding it but couldn't and PLEASE double check every scripture, I take the Word of God very seriously and let me know if I have misquoted anything. If so, forgive me it was not intentional.

Give It to God

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (7) If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

The past 3 years have been rough for the World. I can't speak for nobody else, but I have debt, unpaid bills, and other things I need to take care of. It is very easy to let money control our lives, and most people would agree that money is the most important thing in the world. However, the "recession" has taught us that even money can be scarce, and fails us. If you have a job, what will you do if you get fired? Money is not permanent, but it is temporary because it is man made. This is NOT a blog about only money and I am not asking for it, but I am going to show you how something temporary causes us to worry. Please do not miss the picture God is showing you.

Philippians 4:6-7 is a popular scripture because it usually compliments Matthew 6, when Jesus talks about worry. However, there is a point Paul made but if it is not revealed through the Holy Spirit, it will be severely overlooked. The point Paul was making was this: GIVE IT TO GOD. Why is this important? How did I get this from a scripture talking about worry and prayer? Let's break it down verse by verse, and explore.

Verse 6 reads, "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done" . Paul started with the words, "Don't worry about anything" Why did Paul say that? He said this because it is so easy to let materialistic things and even people stress us out for no reason. Paul understood that we are human and worrying is apart of life. When you worry, usually something that is OUT OF YOUR CONTROL has happened. If you could control it, you would not worry. When you worry, you begin to ask "What can I do to solve this?" "What if I cannot solve this?" "How did I get here?" "If I would have done this, I would not be in this situation" and the list goes on. First, take a look at those statements.......notice how each question/statement has the letter "I", and that is exactly the problem.

We as human being were given dominion in Genesis because we were created in the Image of God (Genesis 1:27-29). However, we have allowed Satan to lie to us the same way he lied to Eve by telling us that we are "god-like" and to a certain extent, we are God's reflection but WE DO NOT HAVE GOD-LIKE POWER. However, we believe that everything is under our control so when we do not have control we begin to worry. We do not have the answers to every question and we do not have everything under our control, contrary to popular belief. It doesn't matter who or what you worry about, but the problem comes when you ask yourself "What do I do now?" Paul clearly answers this question when he states, "instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done" Paul gives us the most unlikely answer to worrying when he says "PRAY" about everything. Paul instructed us to pray because we are saying, "God, this is way to big for my power but I know it isn't too big for You to handle. Help Me" and is an act of submission. However, the rest of the scripture tells us to "Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done". We must tell God what we need but also THANK HIM FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE...when we thank Him for what He has done, it reassures us that if He did it in the past, He could do it again. However, it is also a form of praise and worship. How? We are praising God for what he has done and who He is all at the same time. Thanking God for what He has done also keeps us in submission by realizing that we must give our problems to God because we can't handle it. There is also another benefit to praying instead of worrying, which can be found in Verse 7.

Verse 7 reads, "If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." When we pray and give it to God, we will experience not just peace but The Peace of God...what's the difference? Worldly peace occurs when there is nothing to worry about, but the Peace of God says, "I know you're going through Hell but it's ok. God got you." This Peace passes our understanding because we are calm when we should be worrying. Let me give my testimony: I had registered for school, and I had to submit my parents' tax forms but could not find them. I started to worry but I read Philippians 4:6-7 earlier, so I prayed and I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You did your part, now watch me do mines." After I prayed, I stopped worrying and I experienced the Peace of God because I knew it was in the hands of the Master, someone who could do what I couldn't. We found the forms, and I registered for school. His Peace is amazing, and I still do not understand it, but Paul also tells us how we get this peace when he says, "His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." This peace is for those who live in Christ Jesus a.k.a Followers Of Christ. The only reason this peace is for the Followers of Christ is because they will understand who gave it to them and will witness that God has fulfilled his promise.

Worrying has no benefits, it can kill you faster than you plan. Maybe you're worrying about money, job, house, car, family, relationships, etc. God wants you to know that while your power is limited, He can do ALL things. If you do not know who Jesus Christ is, allow me to introduce you. Jesus is God in the flesh who came to earth to pay your debt to God (sin) on the cross, He died and was raised from the dead 3 days later and now sits on the right hand of God. If you accept what Jesus did and repent of your sins, you become a Fiollower of Christ. Romans 10:9-10 (NLT), states, "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved." In case you're confused, in order to be saved, you must: Admit that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself, Accept that Jesus Christ, who is God in man form came to die for your sins, and Believe that God raised Jesus through the power of the Holy Ghost. If you have done this, you are saved. You will experience the peace of God only when you act on Philippians 4:6-7, it will not magically come to you. I pray that you were blessed through the Word, and remember that God loves you so much, He gave His Life for you. Be Blessed

P.S. Please double check EVERY scripture I post. DO NOT assume I know what I'm talking about. I take the Word of God very seriously and if I have misquoted or left out ANYTHING pertaining to scripture, please forgive me and let me know.

You Are Not Alone Part 2

"Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me." -Psalm 23:4 (AMP)

You lost your job, your unemployed, have more bills than money, no car....These are the situations that we go through in life that makes us feel like we're the only one going through. Sometimes, we feel alone because no one can help us get out the situation we're currently in and we struggle and kill ourselves trying to get out of "the valley of the shadow of death" that we ignore God's promise to never leave us. We depend on everyone else BUT God to get us out of situations and when they fail us, we feel hopeless, miserable, and alone.

This verse in the 23rd Psalm reassures us that our trials are not as bad as they seem. Notice David said "valley of the SHADOW of death"...what does this mean? Your situation may seem hopeless and you're on the edge thinking about giving up but the reality is that it is NOT that bad because it's only a shadow of what it could have been. David continues and says, "I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me." This statement tells us two things: God won't leave us in our darkest days and that God will protect and guide you through them.

I experienced this scripture when my life was going very badly....relationships failing, debt owed, couldn't find a job, and I began to get depressed and started thinking about suicide. I felt like God had deserted me, and that He was so high up in heaven that there was no way He could understand what I was going through on Earth. However, I realized something in the Bible that said that Jesus understands our weak points and has been tempted in every way but did not sin (Hebrews 4:15)...I said "Jesus, you know how it feels to be lonely (Matthew 27:46) and I don't know what to do but I need you to help me." I'm not going to tell you that I felt better from that day forward because I didn't. I still struggle with lonliness, especially being a single Christian but whenever I'm in my valley, Psalm 23:4 reminds me that Jesus is RIGHT THERE with me, protecting me from thoughts of suicide, and guiding me out of the valley.

It doesn't matter what situation you're going through, Jesus is right there. However, I realized something amazing. When you go through the valley, it's main goal was to destroy you. Look back at your life when all Hell broke loose and you wanted to end your life or give up. Now, look at where you're at now. Even if you're not where you want to be, you're not where you used to be. Why? Jesus carried you through the valley because you couldn't make it by yourself, whether you realize it or not. I should have committed suicide in November of 2009, I should be dead but Jesus carried me when I couldn't carry myself and showed me that I am not alone and that He understands my hurt, pain, confusion, all of it He understands. Jesus was abandoned, betrayed, killed by people who claimed to love Him (but He rose again), everything we're going through Jesus has already went through.

I want you to know that Jesus cares about  you and if you are tired of feeling lonely, or having suicidal thoughts, being depressed, you can get help from a Man named Jesus Christ. If He could do it for me, he surely can do it for you. All you have to do is realize that sin separated you from God and you're a sinner, confess that Jesus was God in the flesh who died for your sins, and God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Read Romans 10:9-10) You were not created to be lonely, God won't leave you alone but you feel alone when you separate from God, and His amazing Love. He promised He wouldn't leave you but the only way to connect to Him is through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Be blessed

You are not alone Part 1

"I command you-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Lonliness....it's a feeling that every human being has felt at one point in their lives. There is no feeling that is as dreadful as lonliness because it comes in different ways. When we break up with our boyfriend/girlfriend, when we don't have many friends or even when we feel like no one understands us, it's easy to feel alone and like no one cares about you. Honestly, I've felt alone my entire life. I felt like no matter how hard I tried to make friends or find my worth in something, I felt like an outcast. I have a fake leg, and bad vision, and out of all my brothers and sisters, I am the only one with a fake leg. I understand that many times, we feel alone simply because there is no one there to say "I get it. I've been there, and you're not alone." Lonliness can lead to depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, and possibly voilent behavior towards others.

We were not created to be lonely, and the truth is that we are NOT alone. God promised us in Joshua 1:9 and Hebrews 13:5 that He would NEVER leave us or forsake us. So why do we feel so alone? The reason we feel alone is because we left God. It's that simple. It's like when you turn 18, and you move out the house to get your own place. When you spend the first night at your new place, you begin to feel alone. Why? You left the place where you were comfortable, and that's what sin did: It separated us from God. Many times in life, we struggle to find out who we are and what our purpose is in life. This constant search makes us feel alone when we don't have the answers we want or need and we begin to think "Maybe I don't have a purpose" "Maybe I was an accident" "I am a nobody, no one cares about me" My friend, God cares about you and is with you every step of the way.

I've tried to find my purpose by going to college, having a girlfriend, etc. but after the relationships kept failing, and I got put on Academic Suspension....I found myself crying in the middle of the night, asking God "Where Are You?" "Why am i so alone?"....God showed me Joshua 1:9 and I was amazed because it was the first time in my life that someone had promised to NEVER leave me. My mom left when I was a toddler, I've lost many friends over the years, and it took it's toll on me. I used to be depressed, suicidal, and angry because I felt alone until I gave my life to Jesus Christ. However, those feelings try to come back but I remind myself of the promises God made to me that He would never leave me.

You are never alone because God promised he wouldn't leave you but you can't really experience a closeness with Him until you accept His Son, Jesus Christ. Why is this important? It's important because once you accept Christ, you will be directly connected to God, and you can begin your relationship with Him. Sinners are people who live in sin everyday, and is separated from God. When you accept Jesus Christ, God will send His Holy Spirit to comfort you and to help you. In order to accept Christ, you must admit that you are a sinner, confess that Jesus was God in human form and died for your sins, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Read Romans 10:9-10). However, you must understand that the feelings will try to come back but now that you have Christ with you, you can battle those feelings with HIS WORD (The Bible).

You will continue to feel alone if you try to fill that void with people, things, money, etc. I know this from personal experience. Jesus Christ is the ONLY one that can transform your life, give you joy, and take away your lonliness and pain. Jesus loves you and promised that He wouldn't leave you. Accept His Promise and accept Him. Be blessed

God DOES NOT send you to Hell

"I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Everyone of them was there, no matter who they had once been. Several books were opened, and then the book of life was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done. (15) Anyone whose name wasn't written in the book of life was thrown into the fire." -Revelation 20:12, 15 (CEV)

When facing questions concerning Christianity, there is only one question that everyone asks and very few give an answers, which is "If God is such a loving God, why does He send people to Hell?" The answer to this question is that He doesn't but DO NOT take my word for it, let's check out what the Bible says about this question. 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NLT) is a great place to start, and it says, "But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. (9) The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want ANYONE to perish, so he is giving more time for EVERYONE to repent."  Verse 9 clearly tells us that God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell but He's giving us time to repent and be saved. So if God doesn't send us to Hell, who does?

Let's take another look at Revelation 20:12, which states, "I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Everyone of them was there, no matter who they had once been. Several books were opened, and then the book of life was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done." In this scripture, we know 3 things: We will be judged, God will judge us, and there are books involved. What is contained in these books that are opened? Every deed, thought, and word we ever did in our lives. We will be judged by OUR own actions. Why? Because God is being fair. He's going to judge us based on our actions and not by the Law. If our actions reveal that we lived a holy lifestyle, we will be rewarded but if we lived a sinful lifestyle, we will be punished. Picture this: You're driving 70 mph on a beautiful summer day, windows down, music blasting. You look in your rear view mirror to find a police car with its sirens on behind you. The officer approaches you and tells you that you were going 70 in a 55 mph zone. Who is responsible for the ticket? The cop is simply doing his job.

We cannot blame God for sending people to Hell because He already provided a way to escape Hell through His Precious Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 says, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." God did his part by sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, but He went even further by giving us more time to repent and be saved from Hell even though we don't deserve it. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, but if you reject Him how can you get there? God does not force us to choose, but we must make that decision. If a person has rejected Jesus Christ, there is NO hope for him on Judgement Day because he rejected the only way to Heaven. We send ourselves to Hell by choosing to reject Christ and live a sinful lifestyle.

God doesn't want to see anyone go to Hell, so He gave His Son to save us. However, when we reject His Son we reject the only way to salvation. Hell was never made for man, it was made for Satan and his angels but Satan doesn't want to be there alone, and is dragging tons of people to Hell everyday. We must all stand before Christ and be judged, and be rewarded or punished ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS. No longer can we blame God for simply giving us the consequences of our actions. Romans 6:23 states, "For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

It is true that Jesus died for everyone but everyone is not automatically saved. You must accept what Christ did for YOURSELF. You cannot be saved by going to church, having Christian parents, etc. You must accept Christ as YOUR Lord and Savior. If someone wrote you a check for a million dollars, you aren't a millionaire unless you accept the check. God was so desperate to save you from Hell that He gave His own Son to take your place. Romans 10:9 (NLT) says, "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It's that easy: Admit that you're a sinner (Romans 3:23), that Jesus was God in the flesh who died upon the cross for your sins (Philippians 2:6-8), and that God raised Him from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28:5-6) and you will be saved. Don't reject the only way to be saved from Hell because you will regret it on Judgement Day

P.S. Do not assume that because I post scripture that it is correct, pick up your Bible (or google it) for yourself. I believe the Bible is the ONLY source of true salvation and I want you to know that I am not making this up. Double check EVERY scripture so you will know the truth. Be Blessed

Witness Through Action

"You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith [through works of obedience as well as by what he believes.]" -James 2:24 (AMP)

This scripture contains the number 1 characteristic of a true Christian: he obeys God with his actions and not just his words or beliefs. In modern times, millions call themselves Christians but on Monday-Saturday, they cuss, smoke, drink, party, fornicate like it's cool. Then our unsaved friends are looking at us saying, "If this is how that Jesus thing works then I'm good because I do that now. I don't need Jesus." Now, not only have we caused someone to turn away from Christ but our light has been dimmed. It's not surprising to find problems like these in the church today, from the scandals to the cover-up, millions of proclaimed "Christians" are just going through the motions without sincere motives. I used to be one of them. I went to church on Sunday, sang songs, played the instrument, could read the scriptures, could say some "Christian Cliches" and I was "saved", but Monday-Saturday, I was listening to Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Kanye West, etc. I was looking at pornography, and cussing, and doing whatever I wanted to do.

This scripture says that a man is made right with God by WHAT HE DOES AND NOT ONLY THROUGH FAITH. Anyone can say "I'm a Christian and I'm going to heaven" but what does their lifestyle say? Does their lifestyle say "Jesus Christ gets the glory" or does it say "I'm just faking like I know Jesus, I'm living to satisfy my desires"? This is a very serious problem in the church because the World is looking at us to give them answers but all they see is a reflection. Think about it like this: You're a little kid, you ask your Daddy "Is it alright to hit girls?" He answers "No, a man should never put his hands on a woman unless it's self-defense"....You leave to play, and come back in to see your mom and dad arguing, and your mom is being beat on by your dad....How would that make you feel? Would you hate him? Would you lose your trust and respect for him? This is exactly what is happening with the Church...For centuries, we've been talking about how Jesus can change lives but yet your friends don't even know you're a Christian. We preach about how Jesus can save you from Hell, but we living the same way a sinner does. When does it stop? What will it take? Do you hate God?

Let's take a look at Romans 2:1, 3-4 (CEV), which states, "Some of you accuse others of doing wrong. But there is NO EXCUSE for what you do. When you judge others, you condemn yourselves, because you are guilty of doing the very same things. (3) Do you really think God won't punish you, when you behave exactly like the people you accuse? (4) You surely don't think much of God's wonderful goodness or of his patience and willingness to put up with you. Don't you know that the reason God is good to you is because he wants you to turn to him." This hits right at home, when you accuse others of doing the exact same thing you're doing, you become a hypocrite. Hypocrites will NOT make it into heaven, they will say "Jesus, my precious Lord" and Jesus will say "I don't even know who you are...Get away from me" and will be cast into Hell for all eternity.

Christians are to live holy lives, so that God may receive glory from them but too often are we seeing Satan get the glory. The World is tired of the lies, hypocrisy and falseness and they want to see power, action, results. Jesus never bragged about being the Messiah, he simply LIVED it and those that believed were saved and those that did not were condemned. Actions speak louder than words, so what is your life saying?

Maybe you're a Lukewarm Christian reading this, and the Holy Spirit is convicting you. You can be forgiven and live a holy life before men. Confess your sins, repent, and God will forgive you. 1 John 1:9 (AMP), says, "If we [freely] admit that we have sinned AND confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His Will in purpose, thought, and action.]" It's not too late to start living a holy life. Stop talking the talk and start WITNESSING THROUGH ACTION. I did it and my life has changed, I'm not perfect but there is someone else depending on our salvation. Remember that Jesus gave HIS life so that we could live ours for His Glory, and that you will be judged for your deeds. Be blessed
